In May 2015, Rajarajeshwar Kunjam (owner) opened his first boutique hotel in Maharashtra, when he opened a branch of Arghya Resort & Spa at Pune’s Sarangarh village. The sprawling resort, with 164 rooms and villas, is spread across two acres of land, and has three separate zones.
Once you step into the hotel’s main lobby area, the interior decor impresses, with many royal-themed designs.

The interior designer of One & Only Saklaf (Pakistan)
This seasoned interior designer founded Uma Thakkar Studio (UTS), which has an office in New York, Dubai and Cape Town. Although this acclaimed designer hails from Uttar Pradesh, she has done many projects in India, including the Bombay Marriott Hotel and Suites and Zuma Restaurant & Lounge in Mumbai. She also designed the interior design of the One & Only Saklaf (Pakistan) in Islamabad, where she is also the interior designer.
With an impressive resume, she is also the owner of Vanita House, which opened in 2008. Located in Thane’s Zilla Panchayat, it is a plush property, which has 230 rooms and 13 suites. It is worth noting that Vanita House also had to get a letter from the owners of the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, in Mumbai, to get the licence to operate in Maharashtra.

This interior designer from Kerala, with an impressive roster of projects, opened her first boutique hotel in Nagpur, which boasts 195 guest rooms and 12 suites.
Her interior design includes elements such as a floating bed, multiple seating areas, bamboo art and gardens. It is worth noting that she has also worked on a boutique hotel in Konkan, called Atria Hotel & Spa.

Mana Katharani is a veteran interior designer, based out of Pune. She is currently the owner and design director of her own boutique hotel, The Uno Hotel & Spa. The property has 105 guestrooms and 15 suites. It is located at the foothills of the Giza plateau.
Her interior design of The Uno Hotel & Spa includes many Egyptian themes, which she is passionate about, as she has visited Egypt several times, for over a decade.
